True Mumbaikars

There are some very special people around us who do not forget where they have come from, even in a very ecstatic moment of their life:
  • Team Mumbai wins the Ranji Trophy 38th time, hands down, and the skipper, Wasim Jafar, dedicates the victory to to 26/11 heroes.
  • Sachin Tendulkar scores the most precious 100 of his career, stands there in between till his country wins... and he dedicates the ton to Indian martyrs, who lost their lives in 26/11 terrorist attacks.

Back to common people:

How many of us had thought of the martyrdom of 26/11 heroes even for a sec, when we were celebrating 31st Dec night with fearless/ reckless mind?

Hundreds of thousands of Mumbaikars gathered the Gateway of India to protest over the Mumbai terror attacks and to strengthen the flame of solidarity, on 3rd Dec 2008. Many of us came out on road, together, yelled against terrorism, which is truly commendable. But what’s next?

The rally was successful; not because of having the parade with candles, placards and banners in our hands with sarcastic messages about the political leaders. (Irony is all those political leaders are chosen ones by us only.) It’s good that at least we showed that we are awake, now. But is this the way we wanted to protest terrorism?

I believe, the way, people came out on roads with fearless minds (merely 1 week past the biggest terrorist attack on the nation) was the success of the rally and it was the most apt protest over the 26/11 attacks.

I feel, if we condemn the terrorism then the way we protest should be constructive. On 3rd Dec 2008 all of us who were present in rally could have work 2-3 hours extra and could have dedicated that productivity to the martyrs who fought and lost their lives on work-field.
The message could have been “The more you try to break us, the stronger we will come out!”

All right, coming back to Wasim and Team Mumbai.. Congratlations for this splendid triumph and also thanks a lot for remembering the true heroes in a very ecstatic moment of your life!

These are special people who are true Mumbaikars and hence true Indians, who exhibit their gratitude for heroes of the nation by doing something constructive in their field.
An absolute lesson to learn from such great people: Do something constructive to condemn the destructive one!

Sometimes...
Sometimes I wonder: Why am I here!?
Sometimes I ponder: What is it, that has stuck me on and tempting to linger!?

I try to find out the cause,
but then a lightening thought runs through and I take a prolonged pause...

I decide, not to waste the time in such emotionl gimmicks,
as it's not gonna complete the circle.. but will give rise to the brand new, neverending, sentimental helix!

Many-o-times, I start pondering on my pondering...
And that's the reason, every day and each season, endlessly... i-Ponder!
